Jeremy Ruman has had a lifelong interest in the Merwinsville Hotel. Located along the Housatonic Railroad in Gaylordsville, Connecticut, it was a meal and rest stop which opened for business in 1843. By 1916 the building was no longer used by the railroad and eventually deteriorated.
Jeremy explains renovations made and what’s still needed. The ongoing restoration is supported by an active volunteer base. Major fundraising efforts include a yearly art show (October) and sale and holiday art and craft show.
