I visited the Roosevelt National Park in Hyde Park on – what else – President’s Day. The house, while large, is surprisingly modest. Heads of state and politicians visited and stayed – great policy and world changing decisions were made there. It’s inspiring to think what both Franklin and Eleanor accomplished and sad that their hopes for the American people are still not achieved. There are free days on national holidays to see the house and grounds.
